In this competing world people run behind success. Benchmark them selves against someone else and get determinant to chase the goals that the set by themselves. If we look around us , mostly success in life is measured by the monitory aspects in life how much we earn , how stable is our job , how educated , how many vehicles ,how many properties etc …
If you have seen the movie Lottery Ticket where Bow wow wins a 370 Million lottery , did u notice how worried he becomes soon as he gets to know that he is rich. So I doubt the benchmark that is used currently by this community. Its globally acceptable ( in my view ) that success of an individuals life can be measured by how happy the person is doing there job/business , how healthy the family relationships are and the recognition of their voice in the current community. By recognition I mean that individuals who is respected by others in the community.
In order to be successful how hard should we work or rather how smart. It depends on the community that you operate in basically. And how matured your opinion is on certain facts , for an example for a teenager having “Fun” would be like the most important thing. But when time passes things get more complicated than you would imagine and you would always always try to asses the realistic nature of existing problems , how they would effect your lives and the people around you. Most decisions that you would make will eventually effect just more than you. And this can only be experienced and not thought trough a class room session.
Everyone has goals in their lives. At least in my case , soon after A/L examinations , since I was not competitive enough for the University selection according to the local government I had to look out for other means of education. Only goal I had was to graduate soon and luckily or unluckily I didn’t have much to invest at all. Anyhow gradually started off with Professional Body exam which was far more expensive than I had expected and I had to postpone following that program and switch to a local examination. Since the affordability was acceptable I continued with that hoping to graduate in 3 years and yes I completed the program. Due to some luck in my destiny I was also able to complete the Professional Body exams under a sponsorship
And today my academic goals are met and I have to set them up a little more higher. Hopefully I can get them right and to work well.
So for one person success in life might be the achievement of ones individual goals , for some (mostly for the ladies ) it might be getting married soon. And there are a few more who would have there journeys set to reach a particular designation CEO , COO and Architect etc … Or someone might even have multiple goals. The whole point of this article is to express my view that it doesn’t actually matter what goals a person has. And how many have achieved them. Its a matter of having a few goals that is worth being achieved and at the same time contributes to the society or at least a few people around you to make their lives better.
